and the world just wont let me slow down

I took a script writing class a couple years ago. One of the in class assignments was to write a 100 word story. It had to have a beginning, middle, and end. I found this while I was cleaning my apartment. It's called Father's Watch.

I’m going to see my dad for the first time in five years, and I can’t find the watch he gave me on my 17th birthday. He left after he cheated on my mom five years ago. It took me four years to forgive him and one year to call him up. Last Father’s Day my co-worker asked me, “How’s your relationship with your father?” I didn’t know what to say. He made a mistake, but I still love him. I’m gonna meet him for dinner in half an hour. I hope I can find the watch in time.
