These are two pictures I took while I was in Vietnam. This is a microphone stand made from bamboo. They made it on the spot before the event. The people of Vietnam were extremely resourceful. Their ability to adapt to a situation was incredible. As my life changes, I see that I need to also adapt. A friend said to me once, "Adjust, adapt, overcome. That's why I'm still alive." The ability to be flexible becomes so critical within life. Many times I find myself in love with a certain plan (usually my own) and within the process I forget the original objective. I fall in love with an idea, ministry, or event. All of these are only tools to accomplish the original goal. Being flexible means being able to change the plans so that the goal may be accomplished. Adjust, Adapt, Overcome.
